THE GOOD NEWS

Today we celebrate the Good News of God's incredible
love for his people. Every messenger of this Good News
says the same thing: he is coming to save you; he will
make all things new; prepare a way for him; take him
to your heart!

My Dear Friends,

I start this week by offering my heartfelt thanks to the priests who will be with you this weekend to offer Mass whilst I am away. It is an ever-increasing problem to find cover and I am deeply thankful to them for coming out to visit us. I have no doubt at all that you will make them most welcome.

I must apologise that the Stewardship figures promised last Sunday did not arrive until the evening. The weekend was rather hectic I'm afraid!

A breakdown of the figures is now available in the church porch, and will be of interest to many of you. Do help yourself to a copy. If more are needed, more can be produced.

You will see that we have increased our giving by about 33%. Such wonderful generosity will go some way to maintaining our church and its outreach. Thank you very much indeed. Let us always strive to thank God for his generosity towards us.

The "Walk With Me" Advent meditation books are still on sale in the church porch. They contain a beautiful series of daily prayers and meditations for you to use during Advent. They cost a mere £1 each and are excellent value for money.

God Bless.
