The Advent Wreath
OUR JOY IN CHRIST
We celebrate our joy in Christ's redeeming work

My Dear Friends,
This last week has been truly extraordinary.
As you know I have been in Rome with 8 other priests of the Diocese to celebrate our anniversary of Ordination. Not surprisingly we had a wonderful time!
The most amazing thing of all though was that we were privileged to be mentioned by our Holy Father during his Wednesday audience and to "kiss the ring" afterwards. His Holiness went out of his way to remind us that his Apostolic Blessing was extended not only to us as individuals, but also to the people in our care. In other words 'all of us' here at St Gregory the Great.
Truly, Benedict is a delightful and gentle man and we must keep him in our prayers - Ad Multos Annos!
A breakdown of the parish Stewardship campaign figures are still available in the church porch. Do help yourself to a copy. If more are needed, more can be produced. You will see that we have increased our giving by about 33%. Such wonderful generosity will go some way to maintaining our church and its outreach. Thank you very much indeed. Let us always strive to thank God for his generosity towards us.
God Bless.
