The Holy Family
A Saviour Is Born For Us
Once again we celebrate the birth of a Child who was to bring
the joy of God's saving love to the whole world.
And we make our own the jubilant cry of the angels:
"Glory to God in the highest!"

My Dear Friends,
I would like to begin by wishing you all a truly blessed Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year.
We remind ourselves, on this Christmas Day, that we work and pray together to announce Jesus Christ, Redeemer of mankind and source of all joy.
The joy and happiness that is reflected in our lives at this time of year is a wonderful witness to the Christ in the manger.
I would like to share some thoughts with you today from our Holy Father in Rome who said at the midday Angelus the other day:
"Christmas brings joy and peace to those who like the shepherds in Bethlehem hear and heed the words of the angel: "Let this be a sign for you: you will find a Child wrapped in swaddling clothes lying in a manger" (Lk 2,12). This is still the sign for us men and women of today. There is no other!"
Let us recognise this wonderful truth anew in our lives this year.
God Bless.
BOXING DAY
St Stephen's Day - the patron saint of altar servers. We are very blessed here at St. Greg's to have a growing 'army' of servers. This is the day when those who have been training over the last months to become altar servers are formally enrolled and receive their medals. Do come and support them and join us for a cup of coffee and a mince pie (if you can face just one more!) after the Mass of Enrolment at 10.00 am on Boxing Day morning.
THE GIVING TREEIt would be greatly appreciated if any further gifts for the Giving Tree could be delivered by the end of this weekend. This will allow Theresa and her family to distribute them before the feast. Thank you for your generosity.
PARISH DIARIES AND DIOCESAN YEAR BOOKSThese are still available in the porch all monies to be placed in the wall safe.
