My Dear Friends,

We are an Easter people and ALLELUIA is our song!!

Once again we come to the Day of Resurrection and we rejoice with our Lady and the disciples that the Lord is risen indeed.

Now is the opportunity for us all to look back over the last 40+ days and see the wonderful opportunities that God has given us to draw ever closer to Him. I do hope you have all enjoyed our Holy Week services? I can assure you that it has been an extraordinary privilege for me to celebrate them with you again this year.

I was asked on Good Friday about the collection that was taken up for "the Holy Places" during the Veneration of the Cross.

As I am sure many of you are aware most of the sites of our Lord's ministry in the Holy Land, are looked after by the Church; in particular the Franciscan orders. Our support is vital, particularly in the light of the continuing violence in that land and the ever-decreasing number of pilgrims who visit.

Finally may we all enjoy this wonderful Easter Day and may we bring the light of the Risen Christ, not only into our own homes, but to all whom we meet.

Have a truly blessed week,

P.S. Please note that there will be Mass here this Thursday!

THE MULBERRY

There will be a one day pilgrimage from St Gregory the Great on Sunday May 21st. A list is available at the back of the church for those wishing to go. Price £10 per person. All enquiries from Margaret Corbett on 01895 631814

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY

The St Vincent de Paul Society are holding an exhibition of their work in Westminster Cathedral Hall on Saturday 29th April from 11 am until 2 pm, followed by a Mass of Rededication at 2.30 pm, celebrated by his Eminence Cardinal Cormac. All are welcome to attend.
