My Dear Friends,

As part of our vigorous campaign to oppose the "Assisted Dying for the Terminally Ill" bill, which is expected to be presented by Lord Joffe to the House of Lords on the 12th May, we have decided to further register our objection to this wicked bill by placing a petition in the porch, and would encourage you to sign it. When we have accumulated a vast number of signatures we shall then send it on to our local MP - Mr Mick Hurd.

However should you wish to write individually to Mr Hurd as well, please do so! His address is simply: Nich Hurd MP, The House of Commons, London, SW1A 0AA.

I would like to thank you all for your kindness and generosity towards me over the Easter weekend. As I am sure many of you are aware the Easter collection makes up a vital part of a parish priest's income and as ever you have been wonderfully kind - thank you.

Finally our youth group will be meeting up gain next Sunday, the 30th April, and the usual attendance list will be in the porch. Do sign up if you are going to come along.

Have a truly blessed week,

THE MULBERRY

This is the name of the in-house magazine of our Diocesan Seminary. It is a fine publication full of news about the men who are in training for the priesthood here in Westminster. There are a number of free copies in the porch. It is a case of first come first served!

WALSINGHAM PILGRIMAGE

There will be a one day pilgrimage from St Gregory the Great on Sunday May 21st. A list is available at the back of the church for those wishing to go. Price £10 per person. All enquiries from Margaret Corbett on 01895 631814

ST. SWITHUN WELLS

Applications for admission to St Swithun Wells School for pupils born between 1/9/2003 and 31/8/2004 may now be submitted. Interested families are required to collect the relevant forms from the school. The closing date will be 19/5/2006. Parents will be informed of the outcome on 16/6/2006.

DON'T FORGET REFRESHMENTS IN THE CHURCH HALL AFTER THE MORNING MASS ON SUNDAY.
