My Dear Friends,

I would like to begin by saying an enormous thank you to the priests who have come to help out this weekend whilst I am away on my Easter break. Such help is truly appreciated and gives me the chance to 'recharge the batteries'!!

Training new priests. The annual collection for the "Westminster Ecclesiastical Education Fund" will be taken up next weekend. All the money that you are encouraged to give will be used to fund the preparation of new priests and their seminary. Please take an envelope today and return it next weekend with your donation.

We are very blessed in our diocese to have an increasing number of men offering themselves for the priesthood. Our need for them is very great, so let us be sure to give them our support!

Please note the time of Mass on Monday of this week. Mass will be at 7 pm. Note also the extra Mass on Friday evening at 7 pm to be followed by a follow up meeting for the "Christ Among Us" groups.

Have a truly blessed week,

ASSISTED DYING BILL

Lord Joffe's bill is to be debated in the House of Lords on the 12th May. Please sign the petition which is in the church porch to register your disapproval of the proposal. If you could also write to your Member of Parliament that would be helpful. Nick Hurd MP, House of Commons, LoNdon SW1A 0AA.
