CHRIST THE TRUE VINE.

When, like St. Paul, we 'believe in the name of Jesus Christ',
God lives in us and we in Him. we become branches of

My Dear Friends,

We welcome, as a visitor to our parish this weekend, Fr Kevin Hughes MHM, one of the Mill Hill Fathers. Fr Kevin will speak to us about the wonderful work that is done throughout the world by the his order, and will tell us of the many ways in which we can help their work of spreading the Gospel.

Millions of people are expected to flock to 'chur'...cinemas later this week when the movie The Da Vinci Code opens for business. Are you ready to respond to what it has to say? Whilst the plot of the book challenges many aspects of our Catholic faith and life, the release of the film is also an enormous opportunity for evangelisation.

I have no doubt that many of us will be challenged by family and friends about this film, and to help us to answer that challenge I intend to have a special video evening in the hall to help us debunk the Da Vinci myth, so why not come along?

If I can get the equipment sorted out this will be on Sunday 21st at 7.30pm for about an hour.

Next Sunday also sees the start of our 1st Holy Communion season as well as Confirmation; please pray for all our young people as they take these important steps in their lives.

The annual collection for the "Westminster Ecclesiastical Education Fund" was taken up last weekend and we were able to send almost £1200 to the diocese for those in training for the priesthood. Thank you for your wonderful generosity!

Have a truly blessed week,

WALSINGHAM PILGRIMAGE
