Holy Hour and

My Dear Friends,

I do hope that everyone is having a truly wonderful, holy and blessed Christmas? I must say that I was deeply moved by how many people came to worship the Christ child and I do hope you enjoyed our services as much as I did?

Mum and I have been deeply touched by your extraordinary generosity towards us. The tree was swamped with gifts and I am still trying to find space for the avalanche of cards. If I was to consume merely a small proportion of the presents I would be as large as a house and as drunk as a Lord!! Thank you so much and God Bless you for your affection and generosity.

Traditionally this is the time of the year to be making resolutions! They are not always easy to keep, but they have merit if they draw us closer to God and make us better Christians.

I would like to suggest that one area we might all look at is our life of prayer. Surely it is possible for all of us to get to Mass at least once during the week? Perhaps there is a church near to where you work that has a lunchtime Mass, or perhaps you could get down to St Greg's on a weekday morning at 10 am? Do think about this seriously, for be assured it will 'light up your life'.

God Bless.

THE EPIPHANY

Friday of this week is a Holyday of Obligation and we should all be at Mass on that day. There will be three Masses here at St Gregory the Great. 9 am, 10 am, and 8 pm. Please note that the children of St Swithun Wells will be with us at the 10 am Mass. It is always a great joy to welcome them.

CONFIRMATION AWAY-DAY

A reminder to all our Confirmation Candidates that next Sunday (8th January) is their special "away-day" at London Colney. You will need to be outside St Gregory's Church by 9.00 am. Please do not be late there is a busy day ahead.
