Peace Sunday 2006
Answering God's Call

My Dear Friends,
This weekend is the annual 'white flower' appeal, and there will be members of our congregation outside after every Mass to "sell" you a lapel badge.
This annual collection allows us to reach our and do something to assist those who strive to wipe out the wickedness of abortion in our 'civilised' society.
It is also Peace Sunday in our Catholic Church and as our Holy Father said in his World Peace Day message, "In Truth Is Peace". We must remember that the struggle for peace must begin in our hearts. So on this peace Sunday the Church asks us to pray for our world, for a healing of the wounds of violence and hatred that divide it. Unless we are people of truth, and unless the truth that we speak is the truth of the Gospel, we cannot bring healing to our world.
God Bless.

CHURCH CLEANERSWeek by week a small band of committed volunteers gather at 8.30 am on Saturday morning to clean the church. We are, of course, deeply grateful to them for all they do throughout the year but their task would be so much easier if there were a few more of them!! For many hands make light work. Could you help? Please consider doing so.
