Jesus Christ
Our Forgiving Lord

We cannot celebrate today the Lord of compassion
and love, the Lord who died for us and who lives
to intercede for us, unless each of us has forgiven
his brother or sister from his heart.

1st Mass of Sunday with Children's Liturgy

My Dear Friends,

I must begin this weekend with words of thanks. Firstly I would like to thank Fr Neville Luis for saying the weekday Masses whilst I have been away on retreat. It is not always possible to maintain the weekday Mass when I am away and this is always a source of sadness to me - though often inevitable. So thank you Father for your kindness and care.

What a magnificent 'feast' we had last Sunday, I am not entirely sure how many people were at the morning Mass, but certainly it was standing room only. The weather was glorious and everything ran as smoothly as clockwork. I know I enjoyed myself and hope all those who came along did so as well?

However such events do not merely happen and a great deal of work has to be done both before, during and after! Thank you - all of you - who made the day so glorious.

Finally Gillian and Charlotte Harrington would like to thank all of you who sponsored them on their charity walk. They are still looking to collect remaining moneys and will be outside church after Mass to collect what is owed. It was an extremely hot day and I have no doubt their forbearance was put to the test!!

God Bless.

RACIAL JUSTICE SUNDAY

We are asked to reflect on racial justice issues
and to pray for a Christian response. There will
be a retiring collection after all Masses to fund this vital work.
