The Feast of Christ The King

Christ The King.

Christ is a King on the model of the homeric kings
who called themselves 'shepherds of the people'.
As a royal shepherd he is leading us to
the Kingdom of his Father.

Christ the King.

1st Mass of Sunday with Children's Liturgy

My Dear Friends,

On Monday morning the electricians will arrive to begin the work of replacing our church lighting. Naturally this is likely to cause some disruption for the two weeks or so that the work is being carried out! I hasten to add that all Masses will be as usual and will not be affected. But things are likely to be quite chaotic for the rest of each day! It will be good to have the work completed, so please be patient and understanding!

Thanks to those of you who have already sold raffle tickets for the Christmas Draw. Please be sure to return the completed counterfoils and cash to the presbytery as soon as possible, so that this may be a truly successful draw.

The "Walk With Me" Advent meditation booklets, are once again available in the church porch. These excellent little books contain a beautiful series of daily prayers and meditations for you to use during Advent, which begins next Sunday. They are on sale at a £1 a piece. They sold like 'hot cakes' last year, so be sure to get your copy as soon as possible. I commend them to you most highly as part of your preparation for Christmas.

God Bless.

MASS OF REMEMBRANCE

At 8 pm on Wednesday 23rd November we shall be having a special Mass of Remembrance. This special Mass, during this month dedicated to the Holy Souls, is to give us the opportunity of remembering, in a special way, those we have loved and lost. There will be an opportunity during the Mass to come forward (if you wish) and light a candle of remembrance for them before the altar of God.

YOUTH GROUP DISCO
