God has made us for his own. He reconciles us in Christ and calls each of us by name

My Dear Friends,
No doubt by now, many of you have already spoken to Fr Vincent Deguara who is looking after the parish whilst I am away on my Easter break.
I am very grateful indeed to him for coming to look after things and have no doubt that you will make him very, very welcome.
It was my good fortune to meet Fr Vincent whilst I was in Malta last October for the "World Conference of Priests" that was held there. He was in charge of a group of us English-speaking priests and we got chatting on our day trip to the island of Gozo. I mentioned how difficult it was to get holiday cover and he said he would love to come and help out.
Fr. Vincent will be here for the whole of my time away. I do hope that you will be able to offer him some hospitality whilst he is in residence? I shall, of course, be thinking of you all and will remember you at Mass at Our Lady's shrine of Ta' Pinu in the Maltese islands.
