The Lord Our Merciful Judge

We stand in continual need of the mercy and forgiveness of God;
and we are assured of his forgivenes when we repent, because he has
sent us the Spirit of his Son to help us and plead for us in our wekness.

Holy Hour
1st Mass of Sunday with Children's Liturgy

My Dear Friends,

We did not take up a formal collection for Sea Sunday last week, but envelopes were handed out at all Masses. Do feel free to hand them in with your Sunday offering or simply pop them through the letter box at the Presbytery.

No doubt many of you will be setting of on your summer holidays very shortly. I hope it will be a happy and holy time for you all.

As Catholics we know that we are 'obliged' and privileged to be at Mass every Sunday. When we are away on holiday this adds a new and exciting dimension to this "honour", for everywhere we go there is going to be a Catholic church we can attend.

Certainly what we find there may be very different to what we are used to back home, but such differences remind us, firstly of the universal nature of the Mass and secondly what it means to be a member of a church that is truly "Catholic."

There is a great temptation for us to forget about going to Mass whilst we are away. Remember, God never forgets us, so let us not forget Him! My prayer for you all is that you may have a truly blessed holiday, and may God's love bring you home happy and refreshed.

God Bless.
