"The Torchlight Procession at Lourdes"

The Treasure We Have Found

Solomon prayed for the wisdom to discern the true value of things.
We scarcely need the wisdom to realise that in finding the love of
God and His Kingdom we have found a treasure beyond price.

1st Mass of Sunday with Children's Liturgy

My Dear Friends,

As we gather for Mass this weekend hundreds of people from our diocese will be making their way, or have already arrived, at the shrine of Our Lady in Lourdes. It is of particular pleasure to me to know that a number of our young people are there helping the frail and the disabled to enjoy their time away. Please note that as I go to join them our Mass schedule has been revised for this coming week.

Looking ahead. On 29th August we shall be having another parish 'working party' around the church. This will be, in part, so that everything may be just so for our festival weekend the following week. Don't forget that the morning Mass on Sunday 4th September will be at 11 am!!

Mrs Sheila Barker has asked me to thank you, on her behalf, for all the loving and prayerful support you have given her during her time of illness. It has been a source if great comfort to her.

Finally, be assured of my prayers for you whilst I am in Lourdes.

God Bless.

THE MONDAY CLUB

are having a 'table top sale' this Sunday morning after the 10.00 am Mass to raise funds for the club. Please do give it your full support.

S.P.U.C.

Mrs Sheelah Howley would like to thank all who gave gifts and helped out on the 2 days of the Roxeth Show. The money raised on that day was added to a grand total of £4,100+ that has been sent off to the Society of the Protection of the Unborn. Thank you again for supporting the fight against abortion and euthanasia.
