1st Mass of Sunday with Children's Liturgy

My Dear Friends,

This weekend we continue our 1st Holy Communion season. There will be an extra Mass today at 12 noon when our youngsters will meet our Risen Lord for the first time in the Blessed Sacrament. Please pray for them during these important days and by your witness help them to be faithful at Mass so that they may draw ever closer to our Redeemer.

Further to this there is a pastoral letter from our Cardinal this weekend, which we shall listen to at all the regular Masses. Copies of the text are available in the porch for those attending the 1st communion Mass. Please help yourself to a copy.

Such has been the support for the Make Poverty History campaign that our white sash is already over full. A couple more will be available by next weekend as will special "white bands" for you to wear.

By wearing one of these special bands, you're making a powerful statement that you want real action to end extreme poverty - for good! They cost £1 each, be sure to get yours next week.

God Bless.

HELP!!

Have you considered helping out with the Church Flowers? Pat Hoggart is in charge of the flowers in church and is always looking to find extra help. Surely there are people in our community who can? Do consider giving her a call on 020 8845 3123

MAKE POVERTY HISTORY

The Catholic Church is playing a leading role in the international effort to tackle global poverty during 2005. CAFOD are inviting us to be part of that campaign. A white sash, that will join thousands of others to be taken to the G8 summit in Edinburgh, has been dedicated to Making Poverty History. Sign your name on it today to show your concern and support
