My Dear Friends,

It's not often that I am lost for words, (a statement which I suspect you would all agree with!); but after last weekend's celebration ......... truly I was!

Where do I begin in expressing my thanks and gratitude to you all for making my anniversary a day I shall never forget? Someone remarked that they were looking forward to my 50th being here as well, but even were that to be the case, it would be quite impossible for it to surpass last Sunday. My prayer is that all of you enjoyed the day as much as I did.

What I wanted, more than anything else, was for it to be a truly "family occasion", all of us gathered around the altar to give thanks and praise to the God who loves us. Enjoying being together, enjoying being family, and that's exactly what it was - a happy family day.

Thank you also for your extraordinary generosity to me personally. Be assured that the huge cheque and multitude of gifts and cards, though quite undeserved, will be well used! My living room looks as if it is Christmas - so many cards have been delivered that I have had to hang them around the walls on the strings usually saved for December!

Thank you, once again, from the bottom of my heart. I have always said how blessed I am to be here and you have proved me right once again.

God Bless,
