Holy Hour and Benediction

My Dear Friends,

No doubt many of you will be setting of on your summer holidays very shortly. I hope it will be a happy and holy time for you all, and that you will return truly refreshed. However it is important that we remind ourselves of one very important point whilst we are away.

As Catholics we know that we are 'obliged' and privileged to be at Mass every Sunday; and when we are away on holiday this adds a new and extra dimension to this 'honour' ~ for everywhere we go there is going to be a Catholic church we can attend.

Certainly what we find may be very different to what we are used to, but such variety reminds us of the universal nature of the Mass and what it means to be a member of a church that is truly "Catholic."

It can often be very difficult to find a Catholic church, but let's remember, God never forgets us, so let us not forget Him!

Finally, just a word of reminder to those who booked Masses for this coming week ~ as promised they will be offered at the Shrine of Our Lady at Lourdes.

God Bless,
