THE LORD WHO FEEDS US

Exposition and Benediction

My Dear Friends,

As we gather for Mass this weekend a large candle continues to burns in Lourdes for the life and witness our parish and Diocese. About 800+ members of the Diocese of Westminster gathered with our Archbishop, for our annual Diocesan Pilgrimage.

It was one of the most prayerful pilgrimages I've had the good fortune to be part of and many, many prayers were offered for families and friends and amongst those were my prayers for all of us here at South Ruislip.

May I begin by reminding everyone that Mass on the 4th September is at 11 am!! As usual our 1st Communion children are invited to come along in their finery, as it is their privilege to accompany the Blessed Sacrament in procession on this day, and I hope they will do so.

Finally there are lists in the porch asking for help both with providing food and help with setting up and clearing away. Please note that if you are bringing food - and I hope you will bring lots!!! - we do not have the facilities to cook food here on the day.

Let's make this a day to remember and a truly worthy and warm family celebration.

God Bless.

UNDERSTANDING THE REVISED MASS TEXTS

There are now plenty more of these special booklets on sale in the porch. It is now only six weeks before we start using the new translation and Fr Paul Turner's explanation of the new translation is both informative and insightful. Make sure you get your copy today!! Just £1 each!

WALSINGHAM PILGRIMAGE

Saturday 3rd September. Our Altar Servers will be going to Walsingham and I hope many will want to join us. List in the porch! Have you signed up to go?

1st RECONCILIATION AND 1st HOLY COMMUNION

Parents of children hoping to make their 1st Reconciliation and 1st Communion in 2011/2012 are asked to collect a registration form from the church porch and to return the completed application to the Presbytery as soon as possible. Forms are for children who will be in Year 3 (or above) from September 2011.

DON'T FORGET! THERE IS COFFEE IN THE PARISH HALL AFTER THE MORNING MASS ON SUNDAY.
SEE YOU THERE!!
