My Dear Friends,
As most of you are aware I am away in Italy for the visit of the Altar Servers Guild to Rome and Assisi! So it is a great joy for me to welcome Fr Michael Stewart to the parish this weekend. He will be saying the Saturday evening and both Sunday Masses.
Thank you Father for coming over to help out. Hopefully ~ if he is free, he will join us in two weeks time for our special day of festival? I leave it up to you to encourage him to come along!
With our feast day of St Gregory in mind I would like to take this opportunity of asking you, once again, to consider helping out in whatever way you can. The lists will remain in the porch for another two Sundays. Let's make it a truly wonderful parish celebration.
Finally let me draw your attention to the lists in the porch about the visit of the relics of St Thrse of Lisieux to the diocese. Please sign up soon if you wish to be included in any parish arrangements and note that there will also be a coach going to Aylesford from St Gregory the Great for the visit of the relics to the Friars.

Parents of children who made their 1st Holy Communion earlier this year are reminded that it is their children's privilege to 'attend' the Blessed Sacrament. Parish party after Mass.

1st RECONCILIATION AND 1st HOLY COMMUNION
Parents of children hoping to make their 1st Reconciliation and 1st Communion in 2009/2010 are asked to collect a registration form from the church porch and to return the completed application to the Presbytery before 10th September. These forms are for children who will be in Year 3 next term.
THE WALSINGHAM PRAYER GROUP
One day pilgrimage to Aylesford to venerate the relics of St Thrse of Lisieux. Coach leaves here at 8.45 am. There is a list in the porch for those wishing to go. Cost 9 Details: Margaret Corbett 01895 631814
