My Dear Friends,
I am very conscious that many of our young people have just received their exam results. I hope the anxious wait has been worthwhile, and that all concerned have got the grades they need to move on in their lives, whether it be to further education or the world of work. Our congratulations, prayers and good wishes to you all, I know that you have worked very hard indeed over these last few months.
With next weekend in mind I would like to take this opportunity to remind you all of our Bank Holiday working team. I do hope some of you will be able to come along on Monday to help tidy up the grounds for our special day?
Some light refreshments will be provided at lunchtime ~ kick off at about 10.45 am ~ do come and join us if you possibly can!
Finally, many thanks to those who have already returned their Red Mission Boxes; they have now been emptied and may be collected afresh from the porch. If you have not yet returned yours, please do so as soon as possible - thanks!
Don't forget that the morning Mass next Sunday will be at 11 am!!

FEAST OF ST. GREGORY THE GREAT
2nd September 2007 - SUNG MASS PROCESSION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT AND BENEDICTION - 11.00 am. Parents of children who made their 1st Holy Communion earlier this year are reminded that it is their children's privilege to 'attend' the Blessed Sacrament. Parish party after Mass.
THE MONDAY CLUB
Unfortunately we are having to look for a new co-ordinator for the Monday Club. If you are able to take on this important role speak to Fr Dennis or Gillian as soon as possible. If no-one comes forward it may be very difficult for the club to open, so please do consider this matter very seriously.
1st RECONCILIATION AND 1st HOLY COMMUNION
Parents of children hoping to make their 1st Reconciliation and 1st Communion in 2007/2008 are asked to collect a registration form from the church porch and to return the completed application to the Presbytery before 16th September. These forms are for children who will be in Year 3 (or above) from September 2007.
OUR PATRONAL FESTIVAL DAY
Help will be required on our day of festival and as the saying goes - MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK!! Please do volunteer to help if you can. There will be a member of the social committee around after every Mass this weekend to speak to you if you can help!
THERE IS COFFEE IN THE PARISH HALL AFTER THE MORNING MASS ON SUNDAY, DO COME AND JOIN US!!
