My Dear Friends,

Once again we join together this weekend to celebrate our patronal festival. To give thanks to Almighty God for the life and example of St Gregory the Great. Truly it is a day of joy and celebration and a marvellous opportunity to be a "family" gathered together around the altar of God.

Our Social Committee have worked very hard indeed to get everything ready and I do hope that many of us will help out throughout the day?

It is always a particular joy to see the children who made their 1st Holy Communion earlier this year returning in all their finery! This is a great day for them; let us hold them, and all our community before God in prayer!

May we continue to witness to our faith joyfully and well here in South Ruislip; and so bring others to love and worship the Lord Jesus Christ.

I do hope you all have healthy appetites for there will be an enormous amount of food to consume. As always the parish comes up trumps on such occasions. Let's have a holy and happy day.

This week sees the start of a new year at our school. We pray for all who will be beginning their school lives, and ask for God's blessing on all our staff and pupils. May it be a place of joy and happiness with Christ at its heart.

God Bless.
