My Dear Friends,

I must begin by saying 'thank you' once again to everyone who worked so hard last weekend to make our parish day of festival the joyful occasion it was.

Our first thanks must go to the parish social committee who worked so long and hard to bring everything together, but thanks must also go to those who helped with the liturgy, those who were so generous in providing food and drink, and all those who helped out before, during and after the celebration. Finally I want to commend also our Red Caps who spoke so movingly to give us a glimpse of their work in Lourdes. Truly it was a wonderful day and blessed by the Lord!

Mr Barry Jansen has for many years led and co-ordinated our parish Confirmation programme, and we have been deeply blessed by his work and witness. Sadly due to his workload Barry has to step back from this level of commitment; though he does hope to remain involved and help where he can.

It is difficult for me to stress just how important this task is in the life of our parish and I know there is someone in our community able to take it on. Please pray about this and listen to God's voice calling to you! Then come and speak to me and we shall see how we can arrange and lead the course together. The life of our Faith of our teenagers is at stake here - we simply cannot let them down.

God Bless.

CATHECHISTS FOR CONFIRMATION

It will not be long now before we look to restart our parish preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Help is urgently needed in the running of this course - please speak to Fr. Dennis a.s.a.p. about this. PLEASE DO CONSIDER HELPING OUT!
