My Dear Friends,

Last week I spoke of how important it is for us, as a community, to provide the very best preparation possible for our teenagers as they make their own adult declaration of faith in Confirmation.

As I said then, I know there is someone in our community able to take on the role of leadership. We must continue to pray about this and listen to God's voice! A number of people have volunteered to help with the programme itself, but the key role still needs to be filled. Do come and speak to me and we shall see how we can arrange and lead the course together. The Faith of our teenagers is at stake here - we simply cannot let them down.

Today is Home Mission Sunday, a day of prayer for the spread of the Gospel in England and Wales. This work is in the hands of the Catholic Agency to Support Evangelisation (CASE) which reaches out to lapsed Catholics. Many of us know Catholics who don't currently come to Church so please do get involved by supporting their mission. There will be a retiring collection at the end of Mass.

Finally, could you help out with the washing of the small altar linen? If you can, please do have a word with me after Mass. Many thanks.

God Bless.
