Rota for Special Ministers of the Eucharist

THE GENEROUS LOVE OF GOD

The love of God cannot be measured by any human standard.
By human reckoning it must appear foolish, for what sensible
sensible employer would behave like the man in today's gospel?
We see a reflection of that in Paul's dilemma. He loved so much
that he could not decide whether it was better to live or to die.

My Dear Friends,

Blessed John Paul II said, "Let us keep those with Special Needs at the centre of our lives. Let us treasure them and recognize with gratitude the debt we owe them. We begin by imagining that we are giving to them; we end by realizing that they have enriched us".

This Sunday afternoon, it is once again, our joy and privilege to be hosting Mass for those with Special Needs, and it is particularly 'special' this time as two of our youngsters - Jamie McCarron and George Ryan will be making their 1st Holy Communion and they will be being joined by family and friends from far and wide.

Mass will be at 3 pm and I do hope that many of us will come to celebrate with Jamie and George on their special day.

Friday the 7th of October is to be the CAFOD Harvest Fast Day. To make this event more pertinent to our own situation, we shall be having our annual Harvest Celebration on the following Sunday (9th) CAFOD envelopes will be available next weekend for you to take home with you to return on that date.

God Bless.
