My Dear Friends,

Our 10 am Mass this weekend is our celebration of the harvest. It is our opportunity to give thanks to Almighty God for his many precious gifts to us.

In the light of his generosity we ask ourselves how can I help to relieve the sufferings of those who have little?

An obvious answer is, of course, CAFOD. By giving to this well known Catholic agency we are assured that our giving is well used. There will be a retiring collection after all Masses this weekend.

We are once again into the usual annual round of Secondary school transfer forms. Please note that I will be available in the presbytery this Sunday from 3.15 pm onwards to speak to parents and to sign whatever forms they have. Please note that I will not be there before that time as I need to be in the hall for the start of the Baptism preparation class.

The special Diocesan Prayer booklets begin next Sunday - get your copy after Mass - £1.

God Bless.
