My Dear Friends,
Our 10 am Mass this weekend is a celebration of the harvest. It is our opportunity to give thanks to Almighty God for his many gifts to us. In the light of His generosity we ask: How can I help to relieve the sufferings of those who have little?
An obvious answer is, of course, CAFOD. By giving to this well-known Catholic agency we are assured that our giving is well used. There will be a retiring collection for CAFOD after all Masses this weekend.
Finally, as in previous years I am running a series of talks for any adults interested in becoming a Catholic or who have not been Confirmed, and wish they had been. These sessions will also be for those who were received earlier this year. Please let me have your name and address as soon as possible, so that a suitable time can be sorted out which will be convenient for all.

ST SWITHUN WELLS
Application forms for Admission to the Nursery for children born between 1st September 2008 and 31st August 2009 are now available. Interested families are required to collect the relevant forms from the school office. Closing date for applications to be received into the school is noon Thursday 20th Octber 2011. Parents will be notified of the outcome of their application by Thursday 10th November 2011.
APF MISSION BOXES - THE "RED" BOXES!
Please return any uncounted "Red Mission" boxes to the Presbytery at your earliest convenience please. The annual collection will be on the 22nd /23rd October.
SECONDARY SCHOOL TRANSFERS
Fr. Dennis will be available in the Presbytery this Sunday 9th October from 3 - 5pm and also next Saturday from 12 - 2 pm to sign Secondary School forms.
NOVEMBER DEAD LIST
The month of November is devoted to the Holy Souls. As always there is an opportunity for us to pray for them. Envelopes and prayer lists forms in the porch. Please return them with your offerings for these Masses to the Presbytery as soon as you can so that Gillian can prepare the lists - thank you.
CONFIRMATION 2012
Those wishing to make their Confirmation and who are in Year 9 or above are invited to collect forms from Fr Dennis after Mass. Please note that only those seeking to be confirmed may collect these forms. Applications will NOT be accepted after 30th October
DON'T FORGET! THERE IS COFFEE IN THE PARISH HALL AFTER THE MORNING MASS ON SUNDAY.
