ROSARY POSTER

Christ Our Wealth.

Even though we had nothing in this world
that we could call our own, in having Christ,
the wisdom of God, we posses all things, we are
rich in him. He is the word of God that is alive
and active in our hearts.

My Dear Friends,

The new booklets of meditations and reflections are still on sale in the porch. They are called "God is Love" and are proving to be very popular. They are an opportunity for us as individuals, or in small prayer groups, to explore the Sunday scriptures, to grow in faith and to develop our understanding of our Catholic faith. They cost just £1 and are quite excellent. The meditations begin next Sunday the 29th of the Year.

If there is a group [or groups] of people who would wish to use the book communally through prayer and study, I would be very happy to give them my support and help in starting up such a group.

As in previous years I am hoping to run a series of talks for anyone who is considering becoming a Catholic. These talks are also for any adults who failed to make their Confirmation at the traditional time and wish to do so now. The first of these will be next Sunday at 3 pm.

I feel sure that many of you will have seen this poster (at the top of this page) in our school or in church. It is an initiative of the Family Department of the Catholic church in Spain.

On Wednesday, 18th ~ 1 million Spanish school children will be joining together in prayer to say the rosary for unity and peace. Our own children at Swithun Wells school will be joining with them at their morning assembly ~ why not come along?

God Bless.

CONFIRMATION 2007

Those wishing to make their Confirmation and who are in Year 9 at their school are invited to collect a form from Fr Dennis after Mass on Sundays ~ Please note that forms may only be collected by the candidate themselves. Applications will NOT be accepted after 29th October.

NOVEMBER DEAD LIST

November is the month devoted to prayer for the Holy Souls. There are envelopes and prayer lists in the porch for your use. Please return them with your offerings for these Masses to the Presbytery.

CALLING ALL YOUNG ADULTS - 18 - 30.
