Rota for Special Ministers of the Eucharist

THE LORD OF HISTORY

God is King. Earthly rulers, political regimes,
are called by God to reveal something of His power
and majesty and his plan for the human race.
But they only hold their power for a day. Our concern
is not with them but with God whom we worship.

My Dear Friends,

I would like to begin this weekend by thanking you - once again - for your amazing generosity. In spite of the confusion over the Family Fast Day, we have been able to send £1,000 to CAFOD for their important work for the Church.

Sunday 30th October is the last chance to return any Confirmation enrolment forms that you may have. At this time of the year we are always looking for extra volunteers to help out with our catechetical programmes. Could this be you? I would be more than happy to fill you in on any details - just ask away! Please do think very seriously about taking on this important ministry: your help is needed!!

Finally, I would like to draw to your attention to a concert to help raise, much needed, funds for the Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes.

This will be held at the church of Our Lady of Victories in Kensington on Friday 25th November at 7.30 pm and will consist of a number of magnificent works by Joseph Haydn, and which will be performed by the University College Orchestra.

The evening will be graced by the attendance of the Archbishop and there will be a champagne reception in the crypt afterwards.

If you would like tickets for the concert and also for the reception that will follow, either speak to me, or to Zoe Dacouta whose number is on the poster in the porch. Please consider supporting this wonderful event.

God Bless.
