Christ The Suffering Servant Of God.

Today we celebrate the Christ who gives meaning to
all human suffering. By taking on himself the role of
a servant and redeeming us by his sufferings, he has
turned all our human values upside down.
It is the weak who have become strong.

My Dear Friends,

The meditation booklet "God is Love" begins today. I have been approached by a number of parishioners who are keen to meet regularly for prayer using these booklets. If you wish to join them please have a word with me after Mass. There are still a few copies left in the porch. Cost ~ just £1 a piece!

As part of our ongoing task to make our time of worship together more prayerful, might I ask all of us to try not to move around the church, if at all possible, whilst Mass is being said? This is especially important during the time of consecration when our hearts and minds must be fixed on the 'real presence' of Christ made manifest on the altar at this time through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Mr Mike McBride, has asked me to pass on his thanks to many of you for your kind thoughts and prayers on the occasion of the death of Margaret. "May God bless you all".

Mrs Gail Williams would like to say thank you to everyone for their support of the Monday club sale. It raised £145.00 and this will go toward an outing! Please note that the club is now closed until November 6th.

God Bless.

CONFIRMATION 2007

Those wishing to make their Confirmation and who are in Year 9 at their school are invited to collect a form from Fr Dennis after Mass on Sundays ~ Please note that forms may only be collected by the candidate themselves. Applications will NOT be accepted after 29th October.

NOVEMBER DEAD LIST

November is the month devoted to prayer for the Holy Souls. There are envelopes and prayer lists in the porch for your use. Please return them with your offerings for these Masses to the Presbytery.

LOURDES 2007.

A number of our young people are hoping to going to Lourdes next year as Red Cap Helpers. They are organising a "Bric-A-Brac" Christmas Sale on Saturday 18th November to help pay their fares, and are looking for donations of new or nearly new things to sell. If you have any suitable items, please drop them of at the presbytery or if you would prefer Gillian will collect them. Phone her on 020 8845 2390.

DON'T FORGET! THERE IS COFFEE IN THE PARISH HALL AFTER THE MORNING MASS ON SUNDAY.
SEE YOU THERE!!
