"The Transfiguration"

The Lord In Whom We Put Our Trust

Like Abraham we are called by God to a new homeland.
We are not to rest in the material comforts of this world,
but to move onwards towards the land of promise, where the Lord
will transfigure our mortal bodies into the likeness of his glory.

My Dear Friends,

It is wonderful to see the extra weekday Mass attendance during this Lenten season, but I do hope that more of us will find time to pray in front of the Blessed Sacrament on Wednesday or Saturday morning. As I said last week it may be difficult to be there the entire time, but surely many of us could find 10 or 15 minutes to pray?

A few weeks ago I announced that we needed a new co-ordinator for the Monday club. Unfortunately no one has come forward as yet who can help out under the present arrangements. Thus we have a real problem and may have to rethink completely when the club meets. If you can help to sort this out do speak to me soon, I feel sure we can resolve this problem together.

Last Friday was the family fast day. CAFOD invited us to fast as an act of solidarity with the poor and to donate what we have saved to help the disadvantaged of our world. Our Family Fast Day envelopes will be taken up at the end of Mass this weekend.

God Bless.
