THE CHURCH'S BRIDEGROOM

The Church rejoices in her Bridegroom who will
cherish her, lavish upon her many gifts of his Spirit,
and transform her into a new creation
as he transformed water into wine.

My Dear Friends,

This weekend we shall be taking up our annual 'white flower' appeal. This annual collection allows us to do something to assist the Society for the Protection of the Unborn Child, who are working to wipe out the wickedness of abortion in our 'civilised' society.

It will also be Peace Sunday, which offers us the opportunity to reflect on the Holy Father's World Peace Day Message. The full text may be read at www.paxchristi.org.uk

Pax Christi, the international Catholic movement for peace, has a vision of a world where people can live in peace, without fear of violence in all its forms; a vision to hold before us at all times, and to pray about especially this weekend!

Thursday of this week sees the beginning of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. Our local ecumenical group, the Churches Together in Ruislip, are hosting a shared meal - details of which are below, to encourage fellowship and growth. Why not consider going along for what promises to be a very enjoyable evening!

God Bless.

CHURCHES TOGETHER IN RUISLIP

This ecumenical event is to be held at the Ruislip Methodist Church in Ickenham Road on Thursday 18th Jan. at 7.30 pm. Everyone will be most welcome at this meal; please let Fr Dennis know if you are going.

WESTMINSTER DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES

22nd - 28th JULY

As we welcome the Red Cap group to play at the evening Mass on Saturday this weekend, so your attention is also drawn to the new pilgrimage brochure that is available in the porch this weekend. If you are interested in going along do help yourself and speak to Fr. Dennis.

RED CAPS YOUNGSTERS

Our Red Cap volunteers would like to thank everyone in the Parish who have so far helped them to raise £1435 towards their pilgrimage to Lourdes. They still have a long way to go(!) and there will be more fund raising events in the near future!

DON'T FORGET! THERE IS COFFEE IN THE PARISH HALL AFTER THE MORNING MASS ON SUNDAY.
SEE YOU THERE!!
