Rota for Special Ministers of the Eucharist

THE COMMANDMENT OF LOVE

Today, through the strength that Christ gives us,
we can celebrate with the joy of the Holy Spirit
that great commandment of love which once
had to be imposed on humanity under threat
of God's avenging anger.

My Dear Friends,

We are a parish community truly blessed with a large number of young children; and it is really wonderful to see them at Mass.

To help in their faith formation we offer Children's Liturgy sessions both on Saturday evening and Sunday morning, and I am deeply grateful to the army of volunteers who look after this important ministry.

However it must be stressed that these classes are only for children of school age - it is not a creche!!

Naturally some children may need to be brought in by mum or dad and they may even have to stay with them. But please, if that is the case, do make every effort not to disturb the teaching that is going on. Would parents be kind enough to seat themselves in the hall so that the teaching can take place in the stillness of the side room?

The evening will be graced by the attendance of the Archbishop and there will be a champagne reception in the crypt afterwards.

The teachers, and I, are deeply concerned about this quality time and thank you for your help in sorting this out.

God Bless.

AN EVENING OF JOSEPH HAYDN MUSIC IN AID OF THE LOURDES FUND

To be held at the church of Our Lady of Victories in Kensington on Friday 25th November at 7.30 pm and to be performed by the University College Orchestra. The Archbishop will be in attendance and there will be a champagne reception in the crypt afterwards. If you would like tickets for the concert and also for the reception, either speak to me, or to Zoe Dacouta whose number is on the poster in the porch.

WORLD MISSION SUNDAY

Jesus commanded us to make disciples of all nations! Being a missionary is the responsibility of us all, and the mission of the Church is impossible without our help. There will be a retiring collection after all Masses to help with this vital task.

NOVEMBER DEAD LIST

The month of November is devoted to the Holy Souls. As always there is an opportunity for us to pray for them. Envelopes and prayer lists forms in the porch. Please return them with your offerings for these Masses to the Presbytery as soon as you can so that Gillian can prepare the lists - thank you.

CONFIRMATION 2012

Those wishing to make their Confirmation and who are in Year 9 or above are invited to collect forms from Fr Dennis after Mass. Please note that only those seeking to be confirmed may collect these forms. Applications will NOT be accepted after 30th October

DON'T FORGET! THERE IS COFFEE IN THE PARISH HALL AFTER THE MORNING MASS ON SUNDAY.
SEE YOU THERE!!
