Holy Hour and Benediction

The future of our faith schools has been very much in the spotlight this last week. And thankfully a number of important decisions appear to have been made; but we must remain alert for the debate is by no means over!

It was very much in the light of these concerns that I emailed those members of our parish community whose details are known here at the presbytery. Many were keen and quick to respond, and thank you for that.

I will continue to keep everyone informed of this debate via the notices and the web. Details can be found on the parish web site. Go to st-gregory.org.uk, click on current events and then on "Faith Schools".

The APF (Red Boxes) and last Sunday's collection meant that we were able to send just under £1,000 to the missions: truly a wonderful amount. Thank you for your generosity. Your empty boxes may be collected from the table in the porch! If you handed in a box without a label ~ help yourself to a spare box.

God Bless.

CONFIRMATION 2007

Those wishing to make their Confirmation and who are in Year 9 or above are reminded that their application forms must be returned to the Presbytery this weekend. Late applications will NOT be accepted after 29th October.

NOVEMBER DEAD LIST

November is the month devoted to prayer for the Holy Souls. There are envelopes and prayer lists in the porch for your use. Please return them with your offerings for these Masses to the Presbytery.

LOURDES 2007.

A number of our young people are hoping to going to Lourdes next year as Red Cap Helpers. They are organising a "Bric-A-Brac" Christmas Sale on Saturday 18th November to help pay their fares, and are looking for donations of new or nearly new things to sell. If you have any suitable items, please drop them of at the presbytery or if you would prefer Gillian will collect them. Phone her on 020 8845 2390.

DON'T FORGET! THERE IS COFFEE IN THE PARISH HALL AFTER THE MORNING MASS ON SUNDAY.
SEE YOU THERE!!
