My Dear Friends,
Sadly, during these autumn days there is always a slight falling away in weekday Mass attendance. We all need to ask ourselves whether or not we could get to Mass during the week as well as on Sunday - surely our faith is not just a 'once a week' affair? Please do think and pray about this - and let us make time for God every day of our lives.
Mum has asked me to say thank you, for all your cards and good wishes on the occasion of her 97th birthday. She was particularly touched by having 'happy birthday' sung to her at the end of Mass!!
Finally, please note that there are two Masses for All Souls day, (Monday) at 10.00 am and at 8.00 pm in the evening. The evening Mass in particular will be offered for all the faithful departed.

NOVEMBER DEAD LIST
November is the month devoted to the Holy Souls. It is not to late to have names included and envelopes and prayer lists are still in the porch. Please return them with your offerings for these Masses to the Presbytery.
SICK AND RETIRED PRIESTS' FUND
There are nearly 100 retired priests in the diocese and many more are due to retire soon. These priests have given their lives to the Church and it is important that we pray for them and support them as they grow older. There will be a special collection for them at all Masses this week. Thank you for your generosity.
