God In Whom We Trust

We must not be afraid to give, for Christ
gave himself completely and will reward

It is wonderful to welcome Fr Emilio to speak to us about the amazing and exciting work that the Xaverians do. He will share with us something of his day-to-day experiences of missionary work, and also make us aware of the different ways there are of living the Gospel in other Continents.

I know we will make him most welcome and feel sure that what he has to say will inspire us to reach out and support the vital work of his order. There will be a retiring collection after all Masses.

Finally, in response to a query from a parent whose children are at a non-Catholic school - a reminder:

The Catholic faithful, while respecting the religious convictions of our separated brethren, must refrain from receiving the communion distributed in their celebrations, so as not to condone an ambiguity about the nature of the Eucharist.

John Paul II

Our constant prayer must be for the unity of Christendom, but it is important that whilst on the journey we are faithful to our own traditions.

God Bless.

LOURDES 2007.

The Young Red Caps will be holding their Christmas Bric-A-Brac sale next Saturday in the hall from 1.30 to 4.30. Please come along and support them and get some great bargains, Christmas cards, wrapping paper, toys, books etc - ENTRANCE ONLY 20p

MASS OF REMEMBRANCE

At 8 pm on Wednesday 22nd we shall be having a special Mass of Remembrance. This Mass, during this month dedicated to the Holy Souls, is to give us the opportunity of remembering, those we have loved and lost. There will be an opportunity during Mass to come forward (if you wish) and light a candle of remembrance for them before the altar of God

COME AND SING!

You are invited to come and sing in a special Diocesan choir at the concluding Mass of the FORTY HOURS DEVOTION at Westminster Cathedral on Saturday 25th November. Further details from the poster in the porch.
