THE LAW OF THE LORD

Today is a day of rejoicing in the New Law which Christ has given us
and which unites us with him, binds us together as his people,
and enables us to work together for his Kingdom. We listen to
the words of the Law and ponder them in our hearts.

My Dear Friends,

I would like to start this weekend by thanking you all for your generosity last weekend. The terrible disaster in Haiti has struck a chord in all our lives. Well over a £1,700 has been sent by us already, which is quite wonderful and will be well used I know. However should you still wish to make a contribution do not hesitate, we will be very happy to send it on from the Parish Office.

There are always a huge number of notices on the board in the porch, as well as a wide selection of booklets from the Catholic Truth Society there. I do hope that everyone takes the opportunity, from time to time, of looking at them, not least because the books alone offer us a tremendous opportunity for our spiritual growth?

May I remind everyone of the need to park with courtesy and care when we come to Mass. Parking is becoming more and more of a problem around south Ruislip as more and more 'yellow lines' appear, and this means we need to be even better neighbours to those who live nearby. Do take note of the new restrictions!

God Bless.

PARISH HYMN BOOKS

You cannot fail to have noticed the splendid new hymnbooks that are now being used. It is not too late to sponsor one of these fine books in memory of a loved. Please let Gillian have the details and it will sorted out. Donation £5 per book

CHILDREN'S LITURGY

It is wonderful each week to see so many children going out for Children's Liturgy, but it is perhaps important to remind ourselves that this is for children of primary school age and above. We may need to think again about providing a cr¸che for our younger children and I would value any suggestions

WESTMINSTER DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES 2010

As usual the diocese will be going on pilgrimage to Lourdes at the end of July. If you are interested in joining our parish group be sure to look out for the booking forms as soon as they become available in the near future.

DON'T FORGET! THERE IS COFFEE IN THE PARISH HALL AFTER THE MORNING MASS ON SUNDAY.
SEE YOU THERE!!
