OUR NOTHINGNESS

Yes, we can celebrate today our nothingness in the eyes of the world,
because God has looked on our humility and lowliness
and given us the wisdom, virtue and holiness of Christ.
He alone is our boast.

My Dear Friends,

This Wednesday, sees the beginning of Lent, and for the 40 days that follow we shall try, as a community and as individuals, to grow closer to Christ.

As mentioned last Sunday, the new prayer booklet Who Is My Neighbour? is on sale in the porch (£1). These booklets are designed for us to use together, or as individuals, and many parishes have a number of groups meeting every week to do just that.

If you are interested in being part of such a group please sign the list in the porch and we will then do all we can to arrange suitable times and venues.

At present a group meets on Sunday evening at 7 pm and it is proposed to have another after the weekly "Stations of the Cross" ~ about 7.45 pm.

Do consider this very prayerfully. Spending time pondering the scriptures, opening our hearts to God, discussing what we believe with others, and praying together, should be a vital part of our spiritual growth, and it is a marvellous way for us to develop as a Christian community.

God Bless.

"BINGO EVENING"
