My Dear Friends,
In no time at all now, (Ash Wednesday is 17th Feb) we shall once again begin the season of Lent. These 40 days are given to us, not only to accompany Christ through His passion and death to the glory of the Resurrection, but also so that we may use the time to learn more about our Christian faith.
There is a great danger within our Catholic communities in seeing Confirmation as the end of our journey of instruction in the faith and this is profoundly wrong. So Lent is a vitally important time for us, through prayer and study, to learn more.
With this in mind there will be on sale next weekend the latest issue of the "Walk With Me" booklets. Specially written for these 40 days they consist of daily meditations and reflections and are really first rate.

I also hope to run a series of Friday evening meetings during Lent (after the Stations of the Cross) to help bring the Bible alive. Once again I hope that a number of you will want to come along to those.
Finally please note the special Mass of Our Lady of Lourdes to be celebrated by our Archbishop at Westminster Cathedral next Saturday at 3 pm. There is a poster about this in the porch - all are most welcome.

DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES 2010
As usual the diocese will be going on pilgrimage to Lourdes at the end of July. If you are interested in going be sure to help yourself to a bokking form. They may be found in the porch.
OUR LADY OF BANNUEX
The annual Mass will be held at Westminster Cathedral on Saturday 27th February at 2.30 pm. Reception in the cathedral hall after Mass and the AGM at 1 pm. There is a coach going from Wealdstone. To book a seat rign 01895 420753
