My Dear Friends,

As you go out of Mass this weekend you will be invited to take home a Priest Training Fund envelope for next Sunday's retiring collection.

This fund helps to pay for the men of our diocese who are training for the priesthood.

I hope that many of you read the latest edition of The Mulberry and have seen that we are luckier than most other diocese' in this country in that the number of men in training is at its highest level for many years. This is wonderful news but it is essential that enough money is raised to cover the cost of their training. So please do take one of the appeal envelopes home with you and return them to Mass next Sunday. Thank you.

Finally, during Lent, the number of people who come to Mass during the week increased significantly, and it would be truly wonderful to see this being maintained. It is of course not always easy to mange this, but why not consider getting to Mass at least once a week apart from Sunday? What could be better than to start each day with the Lord at the altar of God?!

God Bless.
