My Dear Friends,

The new issue of our Diocesan Newspaper - The Westminster Record - is once again available in the porch, and as always it is a well produced and informative issue and to be highly commended. Get your copy as you go out of Mass today - once they are gone they are gone!

The First Holy Communion season continues, so let us keep on praying for the children who are taking this important step in their lives. May it be a day of joy and remembrance for them and their families.

In just two weeks time 35 of our young people will be presented to Bp Alan Hopes to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Please remember them in your prayers too. The pressure on young people to stay faithful to the call of the Gospel is enormous, and all to often Confirmation can be the 'Sacrament of Exit' from the Church. Let our witness to the joy of our faith be a living example to them!

Finally I would like to appeal to you, once again, for more volunteers to keep the church clean and tidy. There is a wonderful, but very small, group of people who come along faithfully every Saturday morning at 8. 30 am to do this vital task. It goes without saying that this is a vital but unseen ministry - can you lend a hand? If you can, just come along, you'll be very welcome!

God Bless.
