My Dear Friends,

You cannot fail to have noticed that the crosses, statues and pictures are now veiled. This Sunday sees the beginning of Passiontide. The Church asks us to focus our thoughts and prayers more closely on the altar, where each time the Mass is offered, the Sacrifice of the Cross is renewed, and the saving action of Christ's death is brought afresh into the present moment.

Special Service of Reconciliation are being held around the Deanery to allow all of us to prepare ourselves for Easter by making our Confession. I cannot stress too highly the importance of this. As Catholics we are all called to be reconciled to our Heavenly Father before we keep the feast.

As we did last year, there will be the opportunity for us to remember our loved ones at the altar of repose on Maundy Thursday, through our "Lilies of Remembrance". Please write the name of the individual or couple you wish to be remembered clearly on the list at the back of church and take an envelope for your donation. Please return this either to the presbytery or at Mass.

God Bless.

HOLY WEEK LEAFLETS

Leaflets with all the Holy Week services will be available next Sunday. - Lilies for Remembrance - The special envelopes are at the back of the church. please help yourself and return as soon as possible.
