My Dear Friends,

We now enter the most important week of the entire year for us as Christians - Holy Week. These holy days allow us to draw closer to our Lord as he goes up to Jerusalem to suffer and to die for our sins, and to rise again in glory on the third day.

We can never be worthy of His sacrifice for us, but at least we can journey with Him from the Upper Room to Calvary, and then on to the glory of the Easter morn! Please be sure to take a Holy Week leaflet with you at the end of Mass today so that you know exactly when our services are taking place.

There is still the opportunity for us to recollect our loved ones at the altar of repose on Maundy Thursday, through our "Lilies of Remembrance". Please write the name of the individual or couple you wish to be remembered clearly on the list at the back of church and take an envelope for your donation. Please return this as soon as possible.

Times of Confession before Easter may be found on the back of the special Holy Week leaflet. I pray we will take advantage of these. May we all have a truly Blessed Holy Week.

God Bless.

HOLY WEEK LEAFLETS

Leaflets with all the times of our Holy Week services are available in the porch today. Lilies for Remembrance - Special envelopes are still at the back of the church. Please help yourself and return as soon as possible to the presbytery.

THE PASSION

Is a 4 part drama which starts this Sunday on BBC 1 at 8 pm telling the story of the last week of Jesus's life from three different viewpoints:: the religious authorities, the Romans and Jesus himself. The Passion will be shown throughout Holy Week on BBC 1 - times vary. Sunday, Monday, and Friday and drawing to a dramatic climax on Easter Sunday. It promises to be really excellent - so don't miss it!!

HOLY WEEK POSTERS

The special posters (provided by the Knights of St Columba) for you to display at the front of your home so that others may be reminded that this is Holy Week, are available in the porch. Be sure to take one home and display it prominently!

DON'T FORGET! THERE IS COFFEE IN THE PARISH HALL AFTER THE MORNING MASS ON SUNDAY.
SEE YOU THERE!!
