    OUR LIBERATION FROM FEAR
Fear is the most crippling of all the emotions and there are many
many things in this world to make us afraid. But today we lift
up our souls to Christ who comes to deliver us from fear.
We stand erect, hold our heads high and dwell in confidence.

    Service of First Reconciliation

    My Dear Friends,

'The beautiful task of Advent is to awaken in all of us memories of goodness and thus to open the doors of hope'

Thus wrote our Holy Father some years ago and the most important memory we recall is of course the birth of Jesus.

So, Advent must be for us a time marked by prayer, humble devotion and commitment. Prayers from those walking in darkness who are awaiting and anticipating a great light.

To help us on our journey I would ask you to consider buying one of the "Walk With Me" booklets to help us. They cost just £1 - a real bargain!

Further to this there will also be and Advent Bible Study Group meeting on Monday evenings at 7.30 pm. A wonderful time of preparation for Christmas.

A number of concerned and committed parishioners are keen to form a Bereavement Visitor group. It may be that YOU are exactly the kind of person they are looking for! If you are interested please speak to Fr. Dennis.

    God Bless.
