"THE ADVENT WREATH"

THE GOOD NEWS

Today we celebrate the Good News of God's
incredible love for all his people. Every messenger
of this Good News says the same thing: he is coming
to save you; he will make all things new; prepare a
way for him; take him to your heart.

My Dear Friends,

Next Sunday evening a number of young members of our parish community, who have 'signed up' for the parish Confirmation programme will come to be enrolled. I would ask you to keep them in your prayers. They will need our loving support and encouragement as they make this journey. In an ever more secular world it is more and more difficult to have the courage to stand up and be counted!

Next weekend it is also our privilege to host at 3.00 pm on Sunday afternoon another mass for those with special needs. It is always a great joy to welcome our visitors and I do hope many of us will come along. As always there will be refreshments in the hall after Mass.

Finally I am in the midst of sending out my Christmas cards. Please make sure that you ask specifically - by name - for the Christian stamps that are available. You may well be offered secular stamps. Be sure to say no to them for this is a subtle way of claiming later on that there was no real demand for Christian Christmas stamps.

God Bless.

SPECIAL NEEDS MASS - Sunday December 11th - 3 pm

Once again it is our privilege to host another of these wonderful celebrations and I do hope many of us will come along to make our visitors welcome. As usual there will be tea in the hall after mass.

CAROLS BEFORE CHRISTMAS

Sunday 18th December - 3 pm. "A Traditional Service of Carols and Readings ending with Benediction". There will be a get-together in the hall after the service.
