Mary's Child: Prince of Peace

From the least of the clans of Judah,
from Mary his lowly handmaid,
God prepared a body for his Christ,
who comes to fill the world with his spirit of peace.

My Dear Friends,

Thank you so much for you generosity last weekend for the "Sick and Retired Priests Fund", a most generous cheque has been forwarded to the diocese. and all of this will be used to support our sick and elderly priests. Please continue to pray for them as they do for us.

The day after Christmas Day is St Stephen's Day - the patron saint of altar servers. We are very blessed here at St. Greg's in having a growing 'army' of servers.

This is the day when those who have been training over the last months to become altar servers are formally enrolled and receive their medals. Do come and support them and join us for a cup of coffee and a mince pie (if you can face just one more!) after the Mass of St Stephen on Boxing Day morning.

My prayer for us all at this time of year is that we may all have a truly holy and blessed Christmas, and that we may welcome the Christ child into our hearts and homes. May Christ be the unseen guest at your table.

God Bless.

THE GIVING TREE

Has once again been wonderfully supported this year. Thank you for your generosity and kindness. Special thanks to Theresa Sullivan and her family for their work in collecting and distributing the mountain of gifts
