MARY'S CHILD: PRINCE OF PEACE

From the least of the clans of Judah, from Mary

Mass with Carols and the Enrollment
of our new Altar Servers - Mary Deacon (RIP)

My Dear Friends,

There are still a number of the special leaflets available in the porch this weekend with all the Mass times for Christmas, and equally importantly they list the times of Confession before the feast as well.

The day after Christmas Day is St Stephen's Day - the patron saint of altar servers. We are very blessed here at St. Greg's in having a growing 'army' of servers.

This is the day when those who have been training over the last months to become altar servers are formally enrolled and receive their medals. Do come and support them and join us for a cup of coffee and a mince pie (if you can face just one more!) after the Mass of St Stephen on Boxing Day morning.

My prayer for us all at this time of year is that we may all have a truly holy and blessed Christmas, and that we may welcome the Christ child into our hearts and homes.

"May Christ be the unseen guest at our table."

God Bless.

THE GIVING TREE

Is once again being wonderfully supported. Thank you for your generosity and kindness. Special thanks to Theresa Sullivan and her family for their work in collecting and distributing the mountain of gifts

CONCERT OF CAROLS AND READINGS

in Aid of The Lourdes Pilgrimage, St James's, Spanish Place. December 21st. Concert begins at 7.30 pm. Tickets (£7) will be available at the door on the night. This is a truly splendid occasion.

PARISH DIARIES AND DIOCESAN YEAR BOOKS

These are still available in the porch. Parish diaries at £1 a piece and the Year Books at £4. Please place any money for these items in the wall safe.

"BUY A BAUBLE"

A group of youngsters from our parish are travelling to Lourdes to volunteer as Red Caps next July. If you would like to have someone remembered whilst they are there, how about buying a bauble for £5. The name of the person you want prayed for will be written on the bauble and placed on our Christmas tree. The youngsters will take the names with them to Lourdes and they will all be remembered at the Grotto. Letters will be given out after mass with full details.

DON'T FORGET! THERE IS COFFEE IN THE PARISH HALL AFTER THE MORNING MASS ON SUNDAY.
SEE YOU THERE!!
