My Dear Friends,

I would like to begin by saying an enormous thank you to the priests who came to help out last weekend whilst I was away on my Easter break. Such help is truly appreciated and gives me the chance to 'recharge the batteries' - even if I did get soaked in spite of being in the Mediterranean!!

TRAINING NEW PRIESTS!!

The annual collection for the "Westminster Ecclesiastical Education Fund" will be taken up next weekend. All the money that you are encouraged to give will be used to fund the training of new priests and the upkeep of seminary life. Please take an envelope today and return it next weekend with your donation.

We are very blessed in our diocese to have an increasing number of men offering themselves for the priesthood. Our need for them is very great, so let us be sure to give them our support so that their training may be thorough!

Finally I would like to draw your attention to a series of meeting for young adult men and women who wish to explore a calling to the religious life or priesthood. The group meets twice a month on the mid and last Thursday at 7.30 pm at Newman House Catholic Chaplaincy, in Gower Street. I have further details of this exciting initiative.

God Bless.
