VOCATIONS SUNDAY

THE LAMB WILL BE OUR SHEPHERD

We offer in sacrifice the Lamb who takes away

My Dear Friends,

Training new priests. The annual collection for the "Westminster Ecclesiastical Education Fund" will be taken up this weekend. All the money that we collect is used to fund the training of new priests and Allen Hall seminary.

To learn more about their life at Seminary, be sure to take a copy of The Mulberry home. Further to this a very interesting DVD has been produced by the Diocese about training for the priesthood, which I am sure would be of interest to many of you - please let me know if you are interested? Our need for more priests is very great, so let us be sure to give our Seminarians our support!

Bank Holiday Monday is a good opportunity for us to tidy up the grounds around the church. Do consider coming along to help on Monday 7th if the weather is fine - after all - "many hands etc."

God Bless.

Looking ahead. Please note that Fr Dennis is obliged to be at the Canon Law Conference in Newcastle from 7th - 11th May.

THE MULBERRY

This is the name of the in-house magazine of our Diocesan Seminary. It is a fine publication full of news about the men who are in training for the priesthood here in Westminster. There are a number of free copies in the porch. It is a case of first come first served!

ST. SWITHUN WELLS

Applications for admission to St Swithun Wells School for pupils born between 1/9/2004 and 31/8/2005may now be submitted. Interested families are required to collect the relevant forms from the school. The closing date will be 18/5/2007. Parents will be informed of the outcome on 22/6/2007

WALSINGHAM PILGRIMAGE

On Sunday 20th May a coach will leave St. Gregory's at 7.30 am for a day pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady at Walsingham. Those wishing to go along are asked to sign up on the list in the porch or contact Margaret Corbett on 01895 631814.
