My Dear Friends,
It has been a few weeks now since our Holy Father; Benedict XVIth announced the news that Vincent Nichols was to be the new Archbishop of Westminster.
The ceremony of the Reception and Installation will be carried out according to the ancient Catholic rite used in similar circumstances for the Reception and Installation of the Archbishops of Canterbury prior to the Reformation, and promises to be truly splendid occasion.
Sadly the size of the cathedral means it has to be a 'ticket only' affair; but it will be broadcast live on BBC2 from 11.45 am so no-one needs to miss out.
Our task is to pray for our new Archbishop and to welcome him. It is a heavy burden with frightening responsibilities that he has agreed to take on, and we are truly blessed to have a man of such faith and integrity to lead us.
Finally my grateful thanks to you all for your wonderful generosity over these last weeks. We have been able to send £1250 to the diocese to support those training for the priesthood and £1300 to the Comboni Missionaries for their wonderful work.

MASS OF WELCOME - EALING ABBEY - June 4th 7.30 pm
This special Mass to welcome Abp. Vincent Nichols to our area will be a wonderful opportunity for all of us to pray with and to 'meet and greet' our new Father in God. I do hope that many of us will be there. All welcome!!

are on the look-out for any unwanted dolls that you may have. Please bring them along to the group on Fridays at 10.30am or drop off to the Presbytery.
