Holy Hour and Benediction

My Dear Friends,

I do hope that everyone is having a truly wonderful, holy and blessed Christmas? I must say that I was deeply moved by how many people came to worship the Christ child and I do hope you enjoyed our services as much as I did?

Mum and I have been deeply touched by your extraordinary generosity towards us. The tree was swamped with gifts and I am still trying to find space for the avalanche of cards. If I was to consume merely a small proportion of the presents I would be as large as a house and as drunk as a Lord!! Thank you so much and God bless you for your affection, kindness and generosity.

Traditionally this is the time of the year to be making resolutions! They are not always easy to keep, but they have merit if they draw us closer to God and make us better Christians.

And what could be better that for us to resolve to begin the New Year with God? To help us to achieve this the Mass on January 1st will be at 12 noon ~ to allow us to have a bit of a lie in .................. should that be necessary! After Mass we shall get together in the hall for a brief time of fellowship over a glass of wine, and if you can bear it - a mince pie! Let us be resolved in this New Year to draw every closer to Christ.

God Bless.
